Hey Sarah! Thanks for sharing your story. There's definitely no such thing as "too old for type 1" and the whole "too young for type 2" thought process is a thing of the past. You really can get either type at any age. What did they decide you had? I'm guessing type 1.

Yep, type 1 for me. I remember them initially trying to convince me that having type 1 was better than having type 2 because you can "medicate" more predictably for type 1 with insulin rather than trying to control type 2 with diet and exercise. Personally, there's down sides to both - more needles and swings from high to low and back again with type 1, and more trying to control things with unpredictable degrees of success with type 2 (and the guilt, can't forget that one). Generally, they both stink.
